FONTAINEBLEAU RESORT

The Iconic Fontainebleau Resort and Hotel had a major facelift and featured work and installations by various renowned artists and artisans. Graphicatta & Design Inc. installed the white gold ceiling domes that house 14’ diameter chandeliers designed by Ai Wei Wei. The leaf installation followed the circumference of the domes making them stunning backdrops for the chandeliers. The gold glass wall covering that clad the “Staircase to Nowhere” as well as 17 lobby columns was originally used by Morris Lapidus. Graphicatta replicated the covering with handmade glass, gold leafed, and then attached it to a canvas for this historic reproduction.
